India has strongly condemned any violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, reaffirming its solidarity with Kuwait and its people amid ongoing regional security developments. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Paramita Tripathi, highlighted that the embassy is closely monitoring the situation around the clock to ensure the safety and well-being of the Indian community, which remains a top priority for the Indian government. In a message to the community posted on the embassy’s official website, Ambassador Tripathi described the current period as “exceptional” given the evolving security landscape, and expressed pride in the calm, resilient, and positive spirit shown by Indian residents in Kuwait. She extended her gratitude to Kuwaiti authorities for their professionalism and dedication in safeguarding all residents on their territory. The ambassador also noted that high-level diplomatic contacts have taken place between India and Kuwait. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke by phone with His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held discussions with Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Al-Jaber on February 28. India reiterated its condemnation of any breaches of Kuwait’s sovereignty and thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for its ongoing support in protecting the Indian community. Ambassador Tripathi assured that the embassy is operating 24/7, with a dedicated hotline and email service available for urgent inquiries and assistance. All consular services continue as usual, and the four Indian Consular Assistance Centers (ICACs) are functioning during Ramadan hours, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, except Fridays. The embassy urged community members to rely only on official statements from the embassy and Kuwaiti authorities, cautioning against circulating rumors or unverified information. Guidelines and updates are regularly posted on the embassy’s website and social media channels. Regarding travel disruptions caused by temporary airspace closures and transit restrictions, Ambassador Tripathi said the embassy is coordinating closely with airlines and Kuwaiti authorities to assist affected travelers, who are also advised to maintain contact with their respective airlines for updated options. Concluding her message, the ambassador called on the Indian community to follow local authority instructions, remain in safe locations, and stay calm and vigilant. She reiterated that the embassy will continue to operate around the clock to provide support and assistance to all Indian nationals in Kuwait. Student Exams: CBSE examinations scheduled until 5 March have been postponed, with further updates to follow.
