Kuwait’s Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Boodai conducted an inspection tour of several poultry companies on Thursday to evaluate their readiness and ensure the continued availability of products in the local market in line with the highest standards of quality and food safety. During the visit, the minister assessed operational processes and production capacity to confirm that supply chains remain stable and capable of meeting consumer demand. Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Boodai said the situation in the poultry, or white meat, sector is reassuring, noting that operations are proceeding smoothly according to approved plans designed to ensure business continuity under current circumstances. He added that Kuwait maintains sufficient strategic reserves of poultry products and that production lines are operating at full capacity, which helps maintain supply stability and ensures consistent distribution across the country. Boodai emphasized that the ministry will continue its field monitoring and coordination with relevant authorities to strengthen food security, ensure the steady flow of essential goods, and maintain stability in the local market. The inspection tour included visits to Kuwait United Poultry Company and Sadia Company, where the minister reviewed production lines, operational procedures, and the storage and refrigeration systems used to preserve and distribute poultry products.
