Customs allocates lane for Kuwait Airways at Nuwaiseeb to speed procedures

Director General of the General Administration of Customs, Yousef Al-Nuwaif announced Monday, the allocation of a dedicated lane for Kuwait Airways flights at the Nuwaiseeb border crossing to accelerate procedures and enhance passenger experience. Al-Nuwaif made the remarks during an inspection visit to the Nuwaiseeb customs port, accompanied by Deputy Director for Ports Affairs and Customs Investigation, Saleh Al-Omar, as part of efforts to monitor operations and ensure readiness to improve efficiency and facilitate entry and exit procedures. He said the step, coordinated with Kuwait Airways would also streamline the movement of goods and vehicles through a fast-track system in line with best operational standards, stressing the importance of easing travel procedures. Al-Nuwaif underlined prioritizing medical supplies and medicines, ensuring their swift clearance to meet urgent needs, particularly under conditions requiring rapid response. He added that economic lane systems have been activated to facilitate truck and cargo entry, reduce waiting times, and enhance the flow of commercial transport. During the visit, Al-Nuwaif met customs inspectors and extended Eid Al-Fitr greetings, commending their dedication and vital role in safeguarding border security. He noted the visit aligns with Customs’ strategy to develop the working environment, enhance port efficiency, and balance speed with accuracy in line with international best practices.
