Drone hits fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport

The Public Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Sunday that a drone targeted two fuel tanks at Kuwait International Airport belonging to the Kuwait Aviation Fueling Company (KAFCO), triggering a large fire at the site. Official spokesman for the authority, Abdullah Al-Rajhi, said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency that preliminary reports indicate the damage was limited to material losses, with no injuries reported, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Rajhi added that relevant authorities immediately activated approved emergency procedures. Firefighting teams and concerned agencies responded swiftly to contain the blaze, while all competent authorities were deployed at the scene. He noted that the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Hamoud Mubarak Al Hamoud Al Sabah, was present at the site along with several airport agencies overseeing the response to the incident.
