His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia The Catholic Church in the State of Kuwait On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the Catholic Church in the State of Kuwait, represented by His Excellency Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, extends its warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, may God protect him, as well as to His Highness the Crown Prince, the esteemed government, and to all citizens and residents of the beloved State of Kuwait, asking Almighty God to bring back this blessed occasion upon all with goodness, prosperity, and blessings. Eid al-Fitr, which comes as the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan, carries within it profound spiritual and human meanings, embodied in sincere faith, solidarity with those in need, and a spirit of giving and forgiveness. These are noble values that we all share and that form a solid foundation for building societies marked by mutual respect and peaceful coexistence. In light of the current circumstances our region is experiencing, we raise our hearts in prayer to Almighty God, asking Him to grant peace to our countries and to the whole world, to replace anxiety with tranquility, fear with hope, and to sow in all hearts the spirit of peace. The Catholic Church in Kuwait—its priests, monks, nuns, institutions, and all its faithful—expresses its deep appreciation for the security and stability that this country enjoys under its wise leadership, and praises the spirit of fraternity and coexistence that unites the various components of Kuwaiti society, which stands as a model to be emulated in the region and the world. The Church also reaffirms its ongoing commitment to strengthening the bonds of dialogue and joint action with all partners in society, for the good of the human person and his dignity, and for the promotion of the values of peace and love. Therefore, on this blessed occasion, we raise our prayers to God the Protector to safeguard the State of Kuwait, its leadership and its people, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and peace, and to bless its efforts aimed at spreading goodness and stability in the region.
