Jazeera Airways announced Wednesday the launch of its commercial flights from Dammam Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, starting Thursday, in addition to its existing flights from Qaisumah Airport. The airline’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this expansion aims to enhance operational capacity for seats and cargo, supporting efforts to maintain travel activity in Kuwait and serving the community. Pasupathi added that reservations for flights departing from Dammam Airport will open at 6:00 PM today via the company’s website and the Jazeera Airways mobile application. He explained that all departure and arrival procedures for both Qaisumah and Dammam flights will be handled at Jazeera Airways’ temporary terminal at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref, Hall 8. Pasupathi further stated that with the launch of these flights, Jazeera Airways now serves more than 1,000 flights across 20 destinations, in addition to its capacity to transport more than two million tons of essential goods until April 30. He stated that operating flights from Dammam and Qaisumah airports supports the State of Kuwait in general by meeting the growing needs of the community, in addition to supporting supply chains in light of the current regional situation. Pasupathi emphasized Jazeera Airways’ commitment to ensuring the continuity of travel to and from Kuwait by establishing an integrated operational model combining air and land transport via Qaisumah Airport since the temporary suspension of operations at Kuwait International Airport. He explained that this has enabled thousands of passengers to reunite with their families and continue their work despite the regional challenges. He noted that since the beginning of the crisis, the company has been working to establish a connecting bridge that ensures the continuity of travel safely and reliably despite the exceptional challenges facing the country and the region, and is ready to cooperate with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as cargo companies in Kuwait, to facilitate supply chains. Pasupathi said that the company’s network of destinations includes the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Sri Lanka, India, and Pakistan, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to ensuring safe and reliable connectivity and adapting quickly to necessary operational changes. He expressed his sincere thanks to the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as Jazeera Airways’ partners in Saudi Arabia, for their continued support in making this step a success. –KUNA
