Kuwait air defenses repel missile attack

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said the national air defense systems successfully intercepted a missile attack late Thursday after it breached the country’s airspace. In a statement, the ministry’s spokesman, Col. Staff Saud Al-Atwan, said sirens sounded and air defense systems were immediately activated to deal with the threat. He added that the interception and falling debris caused minor damage to a vehicle on the ground, but no casualties were reported. Col. Al-Atwan affirmed that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces continue to perform their defensive duties with high efficiency and readiness to ensure the protection of the country’s security and stability.
