Kuwait approves three new foreign firms in oil, logistics, and tech

The Official Gazette has published the incorporation contracts of three foreign companies recently approved through the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), spanning the oil, logistics, and technology sectors. All three companies were established as single-person companies for profit under Companies Law No. 1 of 2016 and Direct Investment Promotion Law No. 116 of 2013, reports Al-Rai daily. The newly established firms include: Arabian Drilling Company (Saudi nationality), headquartered in Kuwait for 99 years. Its operations cover petroleum infrastructure, repair and maintenance of mining and construction machinery, oil and gas field services, and drilling of oil and natural gas wells, including complementary activities. Keita Company (Emirati nationality), headquartered in Kuwait for an initial period of four years, renewable. Its activities encompass delivery of consumer orders, data processing, website hosting, wholesale and retail trade, excluding activities restricted under Cabinet Resolution No. 75 of 2015. Kuwait Wantian Technology Company (Chinese nationality), focused on computer programming, IT consulting, and facilities management, operating strictly within permitted direct investment activities. These approvals reflect Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and diversify its economy across strategic sectors.
