Several major roads and key access points across Kuwait have been closed due to heavy rainfall, the Ministry of Interior said on Wednesday. In a statement, the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media urged motorists to remain cautious and follow diversion routes put in place to manage traffic flow. Closures include King Isa Road in Fahaheel for traffic coming from Kuwait City, with vehicles being redirected to the Sixth Ring Road towards Jahra. King Abdul Aziz Road from Fahaheel դեպի Kuwait City has also been affected, with traffic diverted to Al-Taawon Street نحو the Al-Uthaina intersection. Authorities said the Sixth Ring Road towards Al-Taawon Street is subject to traffic restrictions, including a ban on U-turns, requiring motorists to continue towards designated routes. Al-Taawon Street, from Al-Uthaina intersection to Al-Maseela intersection, has been closed, along with the roundabout at the entrance to the Al-Qurain Souq area. The ministry called on drivers to adhere to traffic regulations and follow instructions issued by security personnel to ensure safety and ease congestion. It added that the emergency hotline 112 remains fully operational to receive reports and assist the public.
