It also affirmed Kuwait’s right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, people, and residents, and to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and stability. The statement noted that Kuwait’s defenses successfully countered the aggression in accordance with established operational procedures and rules of engagement. The Council called upon citizens and residents to obtain information from official sources and to refrain from being swayed by rumors or unreliable news that could cause confusion and undermine public confidence. It urged them to adhere to the guidelines issued by the relevant government authorities on how to deal with such rapidly evolving circumstances. The Council affirmed that the relevant government authorities will keep everyone informed through their media platforms about the latest news and developments in the region. It also stated that the country’s strategic reserves of basic food commodities are at a normal, reassuring, and sufficient level, with additional quantities available to cover a good period of time for essential items. All goods are available in local markets in sufficient quantities to meet the needs of citizens and residents without any shortages. The Cabinet reaffirmed that supply chains are operating normally and without any disruption to supply or distribution operations, within the framework of the strategic food security plan approved by the Cabinet. The Cabinet prayed to God Almighty to protect Kuwait and its people from all harm under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect him. –KUNA
