Kuwait denounces Iranian attacks on UAE energy facilities

Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on Habshan gas facility and the Bab field in Abu Dhabi. Those attacks represent a flagrant violation of the International Law and the UN Security Council Resolution 2817, and the principles of neighborliness. They pose a direct threat to the security and stability of the Gulf region, according to a statement issued by the Ministry Thursday early morning. Stressing categorical rejection of the Iranian hostilities which escalated regional tensions and threaten, the State of Kuwait urging abstention from targeting the civilian facilities, particularly the energy ones that put the safety of nations in jeopardy. The statement reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates and support to whatever measures it might take to protect its sovereignty, security and stability. – Kuna
