Kuwait MoI intercepts nine drones in past 24 hours

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced Friday that Special Forces personnel intercepted nine drones over the past 24 hours after detecting them in the country’s airspace, in precise and swift operations reflecting a high level of professionalism, vigilance, and security deployment. This came in remarks by Director General of the General Department of Security Relations and Media and Interior Ministry Spokesman Brigadier General Nasser Bouslaib during a media briefing on the latest developments in light of the Iranian aggression on the country. Bouslaib said that the efforts of the Special Forces came in support of air defense personnel, demonstrating high efficiency and advanced field readiness. He added that explosive ordnance disposal teams handled 14 reports over the past 24 hours related to falling debris resulting from interception operations, bringing the total number of reports addressed since the start of the aggression to 579. He noted that warning sirens were activated four times across the country, raising the total number of activations since the beginning of the aggression to 146. He also pointed out that the Ministry of Interior announced yesterday the activation of an early warning system via smart devices, aimed at sending direct alert messages to citizens and residents during emergencies to help them take necessary precautionary measures and maintain public safety. Bouslaib praised the sense of responsibility and awareness among members of society, affirming that the Ministry continues to monitor developments around the clock and take all necessary measures to ensure security and stability. He prayed to Allah Almighty to protect Kuwait and preserve its security and stability, and that it remains safe and secure through the determination of its loyal citizens.
