Kuwait Moon Sighting Committee to meet Wednesday at 6:00 pm

The moon sighting committee announced it will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Supreme Judicial Council headquarters to sight the crescent marking the start of Shawwal. In a statement Monday, the authority called on anyone who sights the Shawwal crescent to come forward and provide testimony. It also extended congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as citizens and residents. The authority prayed for the continued safety and prosperity of Kuwait, its leadership and people, and for mercy upon the martyrs and recovery for the injured. — KUNA
