Kuwait real estate market sees 86-million-dinar surge in Ramadan transactions

Kuwait’s real estate market recorded 165 transactions valued at 86.03 million dinars during the holy month of Ramadan, according to data from the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice. The private housing sector dominated activity, accounting for 128 deals, or 77.5 percent of the total, with a combined value of 51.3 million dinars. Several high-value residential transactions were recorded across key areas. In Abdullah Al-Salem, a 1,000-square-metre property sold for 3.6 million dinars, while another home in the same area, measuring 752.5 square meters, fetched 1.57 million dinars. In Qortuba, a 750-square-metre house was sold for 1 million dinars. In Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City, transactions included a 1,222-square-metre property sold for 1.22 million dinars and another larger home of 1,871 square meters sold for 1.87 million dinars. In Al-Jabriya, an 800-square-metre house changed hands for 1.15 million dinars, reports Al-Rai daily. Mutlaa City accounted for around 15.6 percent of private housing activity, with most transactions ranging between 250,000 and 390,000 dinars. However, a standout deal reached 450,000 dinars for a 400-square-metre property in Block Two. The industrial sector registered three major transactions totaling 10.05 million dinars. These included warehouse sales in Al-Ardhiya Industrial Area, with one 1,137.5-square-metre property sold for 4.15 million dinars, another 1,000-square-metre unit for 3.85 million dinars, and a third for 2.05 million dinars. In the commercial segment, a property in Al-Jahra measuring 225 square meters was sold for 1.97 million dinars. The investment sector recorded 33 transactions worth 22.64 million dinars. Notable deals included the sale of a building in Salmiya measuring 771.5 square meters for 2.58 million dinars, and a combined land and shop property in Al-Ruqai covering 1,000 square meters for 2.15 million dinars. Additional transactions included a 500-square-metre building in Al-Riqai sold for 1.215 million dinars, a 710-square-metre building in Al-Farwaniya for 1.44 million dinars, an 875-square-metre building in Khaitan for 1.9 million dinars, an 800-square-metre property for 1.3 million dinars, and a 996-square-metre building in Hawally sold for 2 million dinars. Top transactions during the period included a 3.6-million-dinar residential deal in Abdullah Al-Salem, a 2.58-million-dinar investment building in Salmiya, a 2.15-million-dinar land and shop deal in Al-Riqai, a 2 million dinar building in Hawally, a 1.97-million-dinar commercial property in Al-Jahra, a 1.9 million dinar building in Khaitan, and a 1.87-million-dinar home in Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City.
