Kuwait restores five of six power lines damaged by Iranian drones attack debris

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced on Sunday that two additional overhead power transmission lines have been restored to service after being repaired following damage caused by falling debris resulting from the recent Iranian attacks on Kuwait. Ministry spokesperson Engineer Fatima Hayat said in a statement that the restoration of the two lines brings the total number of repaired lines to five out of the six that were damaged last Thursday. Hayat explained that the repair operations were carried out in accordance with the highest technical standards and strict safety procedures under the ministry’s approved emergency response plan, reports Al-Rai. The work included continuous field monitoring and comprehensive technical inspections to ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical network. She noted that the electricity system across the country remains stable and is operating efficiently, affirming that the ministry continues its efforts to safeguard energy security and sustainability in Kuwait. Hayat also commended the dedication of national teams of engineers, technicians and field workers who have been working around the clock with a strong sense of national responsibility to restore services and maintain the resilience of the country’s power infrastructure.
