2026-03-16 - 08:16

Abu Dhabi authorities have responded to reports of a missile striking a civilian vehicle in the Al Bahyah district, resulting in one fatality, identified as a Palestinian national. UAE officials stressed the importance of information discipline during ongoing operations, urging residents and citizens to rely solely on verified official sources. The public has been explicitly warned against spreading unconfirmed reports or rumors, which could hinder response efforts and cause unnecessary alarm, the Gulf News reports. Early Monday, a drone incident near Dubai International Airport (DXB) impacted a fuel tank. Dubai Civil Defence teams quickly contained the fire, and no injuries were reported. All Emirates flights were temporarily suspended, but some services resumed from 10:00 am UAE time on a limited schedule. Several flights were cancelled, and affected passengers are being assisted with re-accommodation. Some flights were diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), and passengers were advised to check with their airlines for updates. Authorities confirmed that the situation is under control and will continue to provide updates through official channels.
