The Ministry of Public Works said several roads have been closed as a precautionary measure in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, to protect the lives of citizens and residents and prevent vehicle damage due to ongoing severe weather conditions. Speaking to Kuwait TV, the official spokesperson for the ministry, Engineer Ahmed Al-Saleh, said emergency teams have been deployed across multiple locations affected by water accumulation. He noted that the country is witnessing exceptionally heavy rainfall, accompanied by a noticeable rise in sea wave levels, with the highest tide expected between 3:00 and 4:00 pm, reports Al-Rai daily. Al-Saleh stressed the importance of residents staying indoors, particularly between 12 noon and 7 pm, when weather conditions are expected to reach their peak. He warned that unnecessary movement during this period could obstruct emergency teams, including fire services and ambulances. He also called on the public to cooperate with authorities under the current exceptional conditions to ensure smooth traffic flow and allow emergency crews to respond effectively. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as teams remain on high alert across affected areas.
