PACI introduces four easy channels for Civil ID renewal

As part of Kuwait’s ongoing digital transformation drive, the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has introduced multiple flexible channels for renewing civil ID cards, enabling citizens and residents to complete transactions online without visiting service centers, except for card collection. The authority confirmed that civil ID renewal is now available through four main methods; the Sahel unified government app, telephone service, the official website, and SMS. Through the Sahl application, users can submit renewal requests electronically and track their status in real time. Alternatively, applicants can call 1889988 and follow automated voice instructions to complete the process without internet access, reports Al-Rai daily. PACI also highlighted its official website as a key platform for online services, allowing users to renew their IDs and make payments seamlessly, while SMS provides an additional convenient option for completing the process. The initiative reflects continued efforts to streamline government services, reduce congestion at service centers, and enhance user convenience through digital solutions.
