The Acting Director General of the Public Institution for Social Security, Khaled Al-Mudhaf, confirmed on Sunday that the institution remains capable of continuing its operations from secure alternative locations. He stressed that all data is protected and backed up, and that most services remain accessible through the institution’s electronic systems. Speaking to Kuwait News Agency, Al-Mudhaf said several security guards who had taken shelter in designated safe areas inside the building were safely evacuated after the facility was struck, an incident that triggered a fire at the site. He noted that no injuries were reported. Al-Mudhaf added that the relevant authorities responded immediately to the incident, with teams from the Ministry of Interior (Kuwait) and the Kuwait Fire Force handling the situation. Senior management from the institution was also present at the site to monitor developments. He said operations at the institution’s main building will remain suspended until further notice, while other branches will continue operating under the approved emergency plan at around 30 percent capacity.
