The Public Authority for Manpower announced on Sunday the launch of a new digital service, “Notification of Leaving Work”, through the As’hal portal for company services, marking a significant step in automating labor procedures and enhancing the efficiency of government services. The service enables workers to be electronically notified after an employer submits a request regarding their absence. Notifications are sent directly to the worker via the “Sahel” application, giving them a 60-day grace period to review the case and provide proof that they have not left work, reports Al-Rai daily. Employers can also print the notification directly through the As’hal portal without visiting the labor department or obtaining additional signatures or certifications, expediting the process and facilitating business operations. The system incorporates a Quick Response (QR) Code to verify data and ensure the authenticity of the notification. Notifications are valid for three working days from printing, within which they must be delivered to the General Directorate of Residence Affairs at the Ministry of Interior to complete reporting procedures. The Manpower Authority emphasized that the new service is part of its ongoing efforts to develop digital services, simplify procedures for business owners, and enhance government efficiency, aligning with broader initiatives to modernize public administration in Kuwait.
