The Meteorological Department has forecast a spell of unstable weather, with scattered rainfall expected to begin this evening, occasionally turning thundery in certain areas. The wet conditions are set to persist through Monday night before easing briefly, then returning again from Tuesday morning and continuing until Thursday evening. Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told KUNA that weather charts indicate a buildup of low and mid-level clouds, interspersed with cumulonimbus formations, which will trigger intermittent showers starting tonight. Some of these showers may develop into thunderstorms, lasting until late Monday. He added that conditions will temporarily improve after Monday night, but instability will quickly return by Tuesday morning. During this second phase, rainfall could intensify at times, becoming heavy and accompanied by thunder, with the system expected to remain active through Thursday evening. Al-Ali noted that a gradual improvement in weather conditions is anticipated after Thursday evening, with declining rain chances. However, winds may remain active at times, potentially causing rough seas, while fog formation is also possible in some areas.
