Residence, labor laws violators face deportation

Several violators of the residence and labor laws have been referred to the Administrative Deportation Department by Director of Security in the Farwaniya Governorate, Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Ghasab The Al-Anba daily said the violators were arrested during a surprise security campaign in expatriate residential areas in the suburb of Khaitan. The campaign was carried out under the supervision of the Khaitan police station chief, Lieutenant Colonel Bandar Al-Mutairi, as part of ongoing efforts to track down violators. A security source said those arrested were reported ‘absconding’ by their employers. One of men was arrested for working for a food delivery company rather than his original sponsor. The source added directives have been issued by senior officials for maintaining a strong security presence in expatriate-populated areas and conducting regular surprise campaigns to arrest violators and enforcing the law.
