The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, strongly condemned the continued Iranian attacks on GCC member states, describing them as cowardly, treacherous, and targeting both civilian and diplomatic facilities. He specifically highlighted recent attacks on the US embassies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait. Al-Budaiwi emphasized that such attacks constitute a clear violation of international law and UN conventions protecting diplomatic missions, reports Al-Jarida daily. He also condemned the Iranian strikes on civilian and residential areas in the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Sultanate of Oman, and the State of Qatar. Al-Budaiwi described these attacks as unjustified, illegal, and immoral escalations that reflect Iran’s persistent malicious intentions toward GCC countries and its attempts to destabilize regional and global security. The Secretary-General stressed that targeting the territories of GCC member states is unacceptable under any circumstances or pretexts, and called on Iran to immediately cease its aggressive actions. He reiterated that all GCC member states stand united in defending their sovereignty, security, and national interests, affirming their solidarity and coordinated stance in confronting these attacks.
