Türkiye opens modern visa application facility to boost travel, business ties

The new Türkiye Visa Application Center in Kuwait has officially been inaugurated following its relocation to a new premises, marking a step forward in enhancing visa services for travelers and strengthening bilateral ties between Türkiye and Kuwait. The center, which began operating at its new location on January 11, 2026, was formally opened during a ceremony attended by diplomats, business leaders, and members of the media community. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Tuba Nur Sönmez, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Kuwait, alongside Mayssam Dabbous, General Manager of Q’go Group, and Bülent Aydın, CEO of VisaFT – Visa for Türkiye. The inauguration ceremony featured the official ribbon-cutting followed by a celebratory cake-cutting and a guided tour of the newly designed facility, allowing guests to explore the upgraded services and modern infrastructure. Attendees included journalists from leading Kuwaiti media organizations as well as representatives of airlines operating flights between Kuwait and Türkiye. In her opening address, Ambassador Sönmez highlighted the growing partnership between the two countries, emphasizing the steady increase in people-to-people exchanges in recent years. She noted that the new center is designed to expand service capacity, shorten processing times, and deliver a more efficient and customer-focused visa application experience. The ambassador also reaffirmed Türkiye’s position as a leading travel destination for Kuwaiti visitors, stressing that the establishment of the upgraded facility reflects Türkiye’s continued commitment to facilitating mobility across tourism, education, business, and cultural sectors. Officials and business representatives attending the launch said improved access to visa services is expected to further strengthen cooperation in tourism, trade, and investment, supporting deeper economic and cultural engagement between the two nations.
