The Abu Dhabi Media Office announced on Thursday that two people were killed and three others injured after debris from an intercepted ballistic missile fell on a street in the emirate. In a statement posted on social media platform X, the office said the incident occurred in the Sweihan Street area following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by air defence systems, reports Al-Rai daily. It added that the relevant authorities responded immediately to the incident, which resulted in fatalities, injuries, and damage to several vehicles. The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. Officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
