The United States Embassy in Kuwait announced that the United States Department of State is coordinating special flights to help American citizens leave the region, alongside any available commercial travel options, after commercial flights from Kuwait were suspended due to threats linked to potential missile and drone attacks. In a statement, the embassy said that citizens who have completed the electronic emergency crisis form may be included on the evacuation flights, depending on seat availability. The embassy urged Americans to closely monitor their emails for further updates and instructions regarding departure arrangements. The embassy also renewed its call for U.S. citizens in Kuwait to consider leaving the country through land routes to Saudi Arabia, where commercial flights to international destinations are currently operating. It added that the State Department plans to organize buses in the coming days to transport those wishing to leave Kuwait to Saudi Arabia. Americans were advised to complete the online emergency form in order to receive the necessary guidance and travel instructions. For those unable to leave, the embassy recommended remaining in safe locations inside homes or secure buildings, staying away from windows, and ensuring the availability of essential supplies such as food, water and medicines. The embassy further noted that all routine consular services are temporarily suspended, while emphasizing that American citizens can contact the State Department around the clock for emergency assistance
